I, as far as I know, am the first III%er from this location to register onto/into the forum. I thought it well to title this thread by the location I reside in. IF new members to the forum happen by this "Welcome New Members" introductory section (where we initially greet one another here "online") to say a thing or two about ourselves, again IF any see it (perhaps, lol) I would guess a marvelous feeling of, "Hey there's others here from my neighborhood!" nice welcoming spirit might be encouraging. So that's why I named this thread as I did. Whether new here or been here I feel any from this locale ought to join this thread so that warm fuzzy feeling might evolve, what's it called? Comradely? Hey and maybe a little bit of "Good order and discipline" military bearing might develop? Yes. Even, right here online! OOHRA! 
My name is Dan Hall. I served in the USMC from 1978 to 1985. 7251 Air Traffic Controller, Tower, Trainee 2 yrs, 0621 Field Radio Operator 2 yrs, 0629 Radio Chief 3 yrs. 0933 Combat Marksmanship Coach 7 yrs. My cousin Gabe gave me a Crossman 760 oh when I was about eleven. I grew up in a nice big back yard for a NYC boy and give my mom and dad (and the economy) a lot of credit for that.
I got these USMC MOS numbers from Wiki HERE. They are slightly different from when I was on active duty but WTF, Change is good right (NOT always)? PAIN IS GOOD!!! (NOT always, anymore LOL).
I am 56 & retired. (bitter part) Fucking ex destroyed everything (that commy/socialist bitch and the courts & bs lawyers) filing for divorce two months after our son was born. We had it made with excellent apartment in north NYC and two houses (one duel residence & investment property with three long-term tenants and one our beach house) in south NYC. (SEE HERE) And she fucking destroyed it. I forgive her. That's me. She'll likely never see our son again. He has no interest in her. I figure he might as he matures. As long as he is a minor I wish her luck, but it's not up to me any more. I had our son legally adopted by my sister and bro-in-law (finalized in mid 2013). She's got to behave and make friends with them and that's a long shot. But we all, including her parents, wish her well.
I do NOT forgive the government nor the judges nor the lawyers. The police. Yeah, I forgive them... save for that one fucking sgt who "followed mandates" (politicians devised). (end bitter part).
I retired from what is now called Verizon Communications Inc. in 2010. NOT VERIZON WIRELESS. It was New York Telephone Company back in 1988 when I started. I moved down here to Florida in 2013.
That all was back starting in December 2002. I kept my cool. Took care of my loved ones. That last bit made solid and secure by mid 2013. Now it's time to take care of me. Love it here in Florida.
