Does everyone have their own Individual First Aid Kit? Or IFAK?
What does everyone keep in theirs? And how do you carry it?
Mandatory items should include:
- CAT tourniquet or equivalent - Hemostatic agent, like Quiklot or Celox. I personally stock Celox. - Nasopharyngeal airway tube - Occlusive dressing for sucking chest wounds. I personally stock HALO seals. - Israeli Bandages - EMT shears - latex gloves - Suture kits
If you do not stock the above items and know how to use them, then you do NOT have a true trauma kit. The list is not all inclusive, as other odds and ends are needed. But if you get shot or hit with shrapnel, you will NEED those items above.
I keep all items in a rip-away zipper pouch, marked with a red cross patch and my blood type patch. It is mounted via MOLLE to my plate carrier. The pouch is mounted via Velcro to the actually base that is permanently affixed to the MOLLE.
So, what does everyone else have?

I added: 1 4" Israeli bandage 1 Triangular Bandage
