So what have you all found to be the best food for long term storage? I have been using a combination of canned, freeze dried and rotating out perishables but that is all good for a bug in situation but I was thinking if I had to move fast I would like to have those Mountain Home type meals in the buckets. I have tried a few they are not bad but what other options are out there?

Oatmeal is a good staple. Easy to store and also good for dogs.

I stock lifeboat rations and powerbar like food bars in my BOB's.
I also throw in carb gels into other smaller bag, or range bags, tackle boxes, and the like. If you're a runner, you know how well carb gels are at providing quick energy...

White rice and dry beans(seal in food saver bags and or in just a food grade 5 gal. Bucket with lid, or do both), canned goods(certain ones last longer), 100% natural honey (never goes bad).
