I have watched politics for a long time. My dad, bless his heart, was raised to believe that Democrats were the fair political party. They just wanted to help the poor. Being he was a single dad raising 2 daughters on his own, he felt like that was what was best for him. Thus, I was raised in a Democratic house. AAAHHH!!! And then, I turned 18. I remember the first time I could vote. In sticking with tradition, I was set to vote for John Kerry. I mean, seriously, he wasn't a draft dodger! LOL that's all I knew about him. SO SAD!! But I had a friend explain to me that I couldn't just listen to the news because they only told us what they want to tell us. My eyes started to open. I ended up voting for George Bush that year. However, I wasn't really convinced that Democrats were out to get us. I mean, they helped my Dad. My Dad wouldn't lie to us. And then, 9/11 happened. My son was 3 months old. I was so scared. War was here again. I was never so proud of America. We don't put up with the BS. And we showed them. I was more convinced. At this point, my patriotic side shows through to the max. And that is when I started to see what politics was doing to this country. For the last 6 years, I have had the mindset of the 3%. I will not give up, I will not give in. I will not vote for the lesser of 2 evils. I will stick to my morals and I believe that, if we stick together despite what will surely be obvious opinions and differences, we can and will bring this country back to the country that is the greatest country in the world!!
